Southern Illinois was pleased to be able to work with AJ and Infinity Shocks this last weekend at the 7th Annual IKE Honda Terry Sprague Memorial to offer a contingency program to their customers! The 4 awards that were given away included the following:
1.) Highest Finishing Infinity Customer ($60 free shock rebuild) - Cole Bodine would take home the top finishing Infinity Shocks customer honors! Cole would pilot his number 36 machine to a 4th place finish in the Saturday A-Main!

2.) Highest Finishing Non-Transferring Infinity Customer ($60 free shock rebuild) - Scotty Britton would finish 12th in the LCQ, falling 6 spots short of a transfer to the A-Main. Scotty did transfer to the A-Main on Friday night on Infinity Shocks.

3.) Furthest Traveled Infinity Customer ($20 in free apparel) - Steven Shebester would take home the long haul honors out of all the customers who registered. Steven drove all the way from Mustang, OK to race at the TSM. That's 613 miles and over 9 hours in drive time!

4.) Hard Charging Infinity Customer in the A-Main ($215 free non-adjustable shock) - Trey Marcham and Jordon Lambert would both tie for hard charging Infinity Shocks customer honors. Both drivers would advance 13 positions (Marcham 23rd-10th; Lambert 24th-11th). Showing what an awesome guy AJ is he chose not to break the tie by finishing position. Instead AJ will be giving BOTH competitors a free non-adjustable shock!

SIR can't than AJ enough for his sponsorship and presence at the TSM this past weekend. We hope to work with him more in the future. We would also like to extend a big congrats to all of his contingency winners!

This will not news to anyone who knows anything about what took place last weekend at the #TSM14, but we will mention it again because we feel it should be. AJ Hopkins took home the dash win and the Steve Thomas Racing Pole Award for the 7th Annual IKE Honda Terry Sprague Memorial! For winning the dash and starting on the pole AJ would earn an extra $100 cash thanks to Zach Odell and everyone at Steve Thomas Racing. AJ Would go on to win the TSM in exciting fashion in a photo finish with Brandon Rose! For his efforts this weekend AJ would take home $5,500 total ($5,000 Sat A-Main, $100 Pole Award, $400 2nd place Friday).

We enjoyed having a regular 410 non wing sprint car driver in the pits last weekend and would like to thank AJ and his team for coming and racing with us. SIR would also like to extend gratitude to Zach Odell and Steve Thomas Racing for sponsoring the pole award this year! We hope to see both of these guys at the #TSM15 next year!

Jordon Lambert, of Indiana, won the Walker Racing Promotions Perseverance award at the 7th Annual IKE Honda Terry Sprague Memorial! Jordon was able to pilot his OSR powered, Concept Chassis into the A-Main by finishing in the 6th and final transfer spot in the Saturday night LCQ. Jordon also tied for hard charger honors in the A-Main by driving from 24th all the way to 11th, making his LCQ transfer worth it. Due to tying with Trey Marcham, who finished one place better, for hard charger honors he did not take home that $100. However, he will still get to take home an extra $100 thanks to Brian Walker and everyone at WRP!

Southern Illinois Raceway would like to thank Jordon for coming and not only bringing 1 car, but for bringing 2 cars (even if he brought Blane Culp lol; jk Blane) to race with us this last weekend. We would also like to thank Brian Walker for not only everything he did last weekend at the TSM but for everything he has done for SIR all year long. We look forward to having Brian back up to Illinois in the future!
